Dopo due settimane di pausa ed altre due dedicate a Su La Testa, domenica 18 dicembre ho presentato una puntata speciale di Championship Vinyl, il mio programma sulla storia del Rock, in onda su BRG Radio.

Championship Vinyl 23 - Live is Better

Domenica 13 novembre è andata in onda la ventitreesima puntata di Championship Vinyl, il mio programma dedicato al rock and roll in onda su BRG Radio 

In occasione del primo anniversario degli attentati terroristici a Parigi, tra cui il più grave avvenne al teatro Bataclan, per sottolineare la bellezza della vita e della musica, da contrapporre alla morte ed all'odio, BRG Radio per tutta la settimana trasmetterà solo brani registrati dal vivo.

Championship Vinyl ha quindi dedicato la puntata ad alcuni pezzi degli artisti fin qui trattati, ovviamente suonati in concerto, dalla prima esibizione di Elvis, al famoso battibecco tra Bob Dylan ed un fan a Manchester, nel 1966.

Anche Belin Che Canzone era dedicata ad un brano live e l'artista della settimana è Chiara Ragnini

Nella puntata di domenica 5 giugno abbiamo continuato a parlare di Johnny Cash, i dischi con la Columbia Records, l'ascesa al successo, la crisi personale e familiare, la dipendenza dalle anfetamine, fino all'incontro con June Carter ed alla mattina del 13 gennaio 1968, in cui entrò nel carcere di Folsom per un concerto leggendario.

Nella puntata di domenica 29 maggio abbiamo iniziato a parlare di Johnny Cash, la nascita, la povertà e le tragedie familiari, fino agli esordi con la Sun Records ed il primo, fugace incontro con June Carter, dietro le quinte del Grand Ole Opry, mentre la vita in tour inizia a farlo sbandare.

Quarta puntata di Championship Vinyl, il mio programma dedicato al rock and roll in onda su BRG Radio tutte le domeniche alle 19.

Nella puntata di domenica 15 maggio abbiamo rivissuto l'emozionante ed irripetibile pomeriggio del 4 dicembre 1959, quando Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins e Jerry Lee Lewis diedero vita alla jam session più famosa della storia, conosciuta da tutti come il Million Dollar Quartet.

Abbiamo poi approfondito la figura di uno dei protagonisti di quel pomeriggio, Carl Perkins.
