6 febbraio - La prima del giorno - Bad penny (Rory Gallagher)

Well, like a bad penny you've turned up again
You're in my sights, there's a mist on my lens
I think you know how it was when I tripped and fell
Well, you've double-dealed me, baby and I broke like a shell, oh

Well, like a bad penny you've sure lost the glow
But I'm out of reach, your smile's sure gone cold
Well, it can't ever be like it was then
Well, don't you fool with me, baby
Well, don't you mess with my plans

Some stormy nights
Your memory haunts me
You won't go away

Well, like a bad penny you have turned up in the change
Try to fit into the picture, you can't get inside the frame
I think you know I'm still sore but I'm on the mend

Times sure have changed, it won't happen again

Well, like a bad penny spins around and around
Well, you won't know what's gone wrong when it all falls down
You got to learn from now on to stop playing games
You ought to keep on moving, you got to spin on your way

Some lonely nights
I hear you calling
Won't you go away?

Well, like a bad penny you have turned up again
You're in my sights, well, there's a mist on my lens
I think you know how it was when I tripped and fell
Well, you've double-dealed me, baby, I cracked like a shell, yeah

con ancora i graffi sui ginocchi
dalla cucina una voce cara
mia madre che mi dice:

Non farti cadere le braccia,
corri forte, va più forte che puoi.
Non devi voltare la faccia,
non arrenderti né ora né mai!

Non so... non so...
se ti è capitato mai
di dover fare una lunga corsa
ed a metà strada stanco
dire a te stesso "adesso basta!"
Eppure altri stan correndo ancora
intorno a te... e allora

Non farti cadere le braccia,
corri forte, va più forte che puoi.
Non devi voltare la faccia,
non arrenderti né ora né mai!
Non puoi fermarti ora

No, no, no, no, no, no, no
Lo so ti scoppia il cuore,
dici anche di voler morire,
dici è meglio che correr così,
ma no, non puoi fermarti,
non farti cadere le braccia, no, no, no...
non devi voltare la faccia,
non arrenderti né ora né mai!

4 febbraio - La prima del giorno - Caterina (Francesco De Gregori)

Poi arrivò il mattino
e col mattino un angelo
e quell'angelo eri tu
con due spalle uccellino
in un vestito troppo piccolo
e con gli occhi ancora blu.
E la chitarra veramente
la suonavi molto male
però quando cantavi
sembrava carnevale
e una bottiglia ci bastava
per un pomeriggio intero
a raccontarlo oggi
non sembra neanche vero.
E la vita Caterina lo sai
non è comoda per nessuno
quando vuoi gustare fino in fondo
tutto il suo profumo.
Devi rischiare la notte, il vino
e la malinconia
e le valigie di un amore
che vola via.
E cinquecento catenelle
che si spezzano in un secondo
e non ti bastano per piangere
le lacrime di tutto il mondo.
Chissà se in quei momenti
ti ricordi della mia faccia
quanto la notte scene
e ti si gelano le braccia.
Ma se soltanto per un attimo
potessi averti accanto
forse non ti direi niente
ma ti guarderei soltanto.
Chissà se giochi ancora
con i ricciolo sull'orecchio
o se guardandomi negli occhi
mi troveresti un po' più vecchio.
E quanti mascalzoni hai conosciuto
e quante volte hai chiesto aiuto
ma non ti è servito a niente.
Caterina questa tua canzone
vorrei veder volare
sopra i tetti di Firenze
per poterti conquistare.

In equilibrio come Don Chisciotte (Come Don Chisciotte 2.5)

A long, long time ago
I can still remember how that music used to make me smile
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make those people dance
And maybe they'd be happy for a while

But February made me shiver
With every paper I'd deliver
Bad news on the doorstep
I couldn't take one more step

I can't remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride
But something touched me deep inside
The day the music died

[Chorus:]
So bye, bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
And them good ole boys were drinking whiskey 'n rye
Singin' this'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

[Verse 1]
Did you write the book of love
And do you have faith in God above
If the Bible tells you so?
Now do you believe in rock and roll?
Can music save your mortal soul?
And can you teach me how to dance real slow?

Well, I know that you're in love with him
'Cause I saw you dancin' in the gym
You both kicked off your shoes
Man, I dig those rhythm and blues

I was a lonely teenage broncin' buck
With a pink carnation and a pickup truck
But I knew I was out of luck
The day the music died

[Chorus:]
I started singing bye, bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
Them good ole boys were drinking whiskey 'n rye
Singin' this'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

[Verse 2]
Now for ten years we've been on our own
And moss grows fat on a rollin' stone
But that's not how it used to be
When the jester sang for the king and queen
In a coat he borrowed from James Dean
And a voice that came from you and me

Oh, and while the king was looking down
The jester stole his thorny crown
The courtroom was adjourned
No verdict was returned

And while Lenin read a book on Marx
The quartet practiced in the park
And we sang dirges in the dark
The day the music died

[Chorus:]
We were singing bye, bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
Them good ole boys were drinking whiskey 'n rye
Singin' this'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

[Verse 3]
Helter skelter in a summer swelter
The birds flew off with a fallout shelter
Eight miles high and falling fast
It landed foul on the grass
The players tried for a forward pass
With the jester on the sidelines in a cast

Now the halftime air was sweet perfume
While the sergeants played a marching tune
We all got up to dance
Oh, but we never got the chance

'Cause the players tried to take the field
The marching band refused to yield
Do you recall what was revealed
The day the music died?

[Chorus:]
We started singing bye, bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
Them good ole boys were drinking whiskey 'n rye
And singin' this'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

[Verse 4]
Oh, and there we were all in one place
A generation lost in space
With no time left to start again
So come on, Jack be nimble, Jack be quick
Jack Flash sat on a candlestick
'Cause fire is the devil's only friend

Oh, and as I watched him on the stage
My hands were clenched in fists of rage
No angel born in Hell
Could break that Satan's spell

And as the flames climbed high into the night
To light the sacrificial rite
I saw Satan laughing with delight
The day the music died

[Chorus:]
He was singing bye, bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
Them good ole boys were drinking whiskey 'n rye
And singin' this'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

[Outro]
I met a girl who sang the blues
And I asked her for some happy news
But she just smiled and turned away
I went down to the sacred store
Where I'd heard the music years before
But the man there said the music wouldn't play

And in the streets, the children screamed
The lovers cried and the poets dreamed
But not a word was spoken
The church bells all were broken

And the three men I admire most
The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost
They caught the last train for the coast
The day the music died

[Chorus:]
And they were singing bye, bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
And them good ole boys were drinking whiskey 'n rye
Singin' this'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

[Chorus:]
They were singing bye, bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
Them good ole boys were drinking whiskey 'n rye
And singin' this'll be the day that I die

2 febbraio - La prima del giorno - Roadhouse Blues (Doors)

Keep your eyes on the road, your hands upon the wheel
Keep your eyes on the road, your hands upon the wheel
Yeah, we're goin' to the Roadhouse
Gonna have a real
Good time

Yeah, in back of the Roadhouse they got some bungalows
Yeah, in back of the Roadhouse they got some bungalows
Death's for the people
Who like to go down slow

Let it roll, baby, roll
Let it roll, baby, roll
Let it roll, baby, roll
Let it roll, all night long

You gotta roll, roll, roll
You gotta thrill my soul, alright

Roll, roll, roll, roll, a'thrill my soul
Ya gotta beep a gonk a chucha
Honk konk konk
Ya gotta, each you puna
Each ya, bop a lula
Each ya'll, bump a kechonk
Ease some konk
Ya, ride

Ashen lady, Ashen lady
Give up your vows, give up your vows
Save our city, save our city
Right now

And I woke up, good mornin', and I got myself a beer
Yeah, I woke up, good mornin', and I got myself a beer
The future's uncertain and the end is always near

Let it roll, baby, roll
Let it roll, baby, roll
Let it roll, baby, roll
Let it roll, all night long

1 febbraio - La prima del giorno - Shuffle it all (Izzy Stradlin and the Ju Ju Hounds)

 Boredom saturation
  It's a never ending clue
Isn't just to fill the time
When there's nothing else to do

She drove on out of New York
  She had enough insane
And drivin' just though Texas two days
  She ended up in L.A.

  Shuffle it all
  Shuffle it all, yeah
  Shuffle it all
  Pack up your life again

A pile of records spread out
  The covers still look good
  Picture here a Peter Tosh's
startin' down and a smokin' wood

  My dog dreaming is running
I see him twitch a paw
  My woman playing Dr. Mario
On the TV all night long

  Just another cigarette
  Staring at the moon, yeah
Then I'm headin' off to bed
  Sleepin' without you, yeah

  Shuffle it all
  Shuffle it all, yeah
  Pack up your bags again

It's a long and winding road
  Sure enjoy the view, yeah
If you want to see it
  Just slow down
You're so welcome to come along

Lookin' for a tune to play
  I'm gonna see it again
  When the day is over
Try to write you 'bout the rain

  Feel the motors winding on
  There ain't no news
If you see those old friends out there
Tell them that I send my love

Wake up, time to leave again
  Try to find my shoes
Put the luggage in the van
  Roll up your Doctor Dolittle

  Shuffle it all
  Shuffle it all, yeah
  Shuffle it all
  Pack up your things again
Shuffle it all (Keep movin' along)
Shuffle it all (Keep movin' along)
Shuffle it all (Keep movin' along)
  Pack up your life again

  Keep on shufflin'
