• 13 gennaio 1970 - al matrix di san francisco si esibiscono gli steel mill, in teoria come gruppo di apertura per boz scaggs; quest'ultimo invece non suonò e gli steel mill ricevettero recensioni molto positive dal critico musicale del san francisco examiner, nel locale per recensire boz scaggs. Il chitarrista degli steel mill era bruce springsteen
